Before I launch into my comic-toy illustration of how a lion and a steed exchanged hair tips that might throw your forgotten childhood memories into disarray, I must first make it clear that this post is about 2 new awesome hair products I've been introduced to - new Essential Sleeping Hair and Essential Leave On Serum, as you can see from the above picture. π
Now, we start.
Once upon a time, a majestic beast with a mane of golden-brown hair walked the forest bed and through a pinhole constructed by thick shurbs, something caught his eye.
The lion advanced towards the gleaming light and displayed before his eyes was a steed dressed in the most beautiful of manes and the most flowy of tails.
Softly on padded paws, the lion emerged through the shrubs and politely asked the horse.
The horse was taken aback but composed itself in front of the beast with such an intimidating disposition.
Left with only the choice of survival, the horse shared the secret to having smooth and untangled hair in the morning.
HAHAHAHA!!!
Like my story?? XD
No, I don't play with these animal toys. Lol. They're kept in a drawer and only opened when my little cousins come to visit. My brothers used to play with these so my mum kept them around. I wasn't a farm and animals kind of kid; I preferred books. Not really to read, but to open and arrange them into my personal fort. HOHOHO.
Why the lion and the horse? Because while makeup brushes are made of hair from goat, horse, squirrel and more, you've never heard of HAIR FROM LION, right? π
But I really did look like a LION when I woke up in the morning, before Essential products came into my life.
SO MUCH FRIZZZZZ!!!! π
And unbeknownst to me before, all those tangles and frizz in my hair were caused by these Pillow Friction criminals!
Unless you sleep with a helmet on, all that tossing and turning causes hair to rub against your pillow, thus causing what they call 'Pillow Friction'. When hair is ruthlessly rubbed against the surface of our pillow, our hair cuticles are opened unevenly so that when we wake up in the morning, we look like we just emerged from a catfight.
When I wake up in the morning, my hair is all out of shape, rough, frizzy and often in tangles. We all don't want to appear superficial, but a bad hair day ruins the day, doesn't it? π
Essential Hair Care Products
Essential is a popular haircare brand from Japan that has a wide range of products to help repair and care for damaged hair. Understanding the amount of stress on the hair going from hot to cold back to hot and then cold places in Singapore, Essential offers hair care products ranging from shampoo to conditioner to treatments.
Another two fantastic Essential products borne from understanding the needs of people who often wake up with tangled and frizzy hair are the new Essential Sleeping Hair Mask and Essential Leave On Serum.
Many people wash their hair at night AND in the morning to avoid having a bad hair day. Washing your hair 'resets' the uneven alignment of hair cuticles and makes hair appear smooth and manageable, but you'd have to wake up earlier to wash your hair, right?
What if I told you there's something that would save you the hassle of washing your hair in the morning? π
I don't wash my hair in the morning because I always catch a cold when I do, and I much prefer to go to sleep with a clean head. Also, my hair is WAY TOO THICK to afford the time for a wash in the morning!
Huge improvement from before, right? This is, of course, due to applying Sleeping Mask the night before!
(Is it possible to do this pose without showing the neck lines? Or do they usually get entirely airbrushed out in magazines??)
No hair stylist has ever touched my hair and not commented that my hair is super thick. Not the regular-thick, but THICK-THICK-THICK.
My friend and I chanced upon a hair analysis once. My friend has little hair, with 1-2 strands in each follicle. The average person has 2-3. I have 5. =O
I'm not boasting, in fact, there are inconveniences to having extremely thick hair too. Like spending a lot more time (and money) at the salon, taking 4 hours for the hair to completely air-dry, getting headaches from the weight of the hair, having a suffocated scalp (it always feels like an oven up there!), and the amount of nutrients I take can never be enough to go round for all hair strands so MY HAIR ALWAYS APPEARS DRY.
(But I still love my hair very much! Thank you dad and mum for giving me love and hair in abundance! π )
The Essential Sleeping Mask has made life so much easier recently! I can vouch that I have much less tangles in my hair and my hair feels smoother!
Use Essential Sleeping Mask At Night For Great Hair In The Morning
Here's how I use the Essential Sleeping Mask at night so that I'll have awesome hair when I awake.
- Blow dry my hair
- Apply Essential Sleeping Mask (aka Treatment Milk on the packaging)
- Leave the mask on until the next wash
Usage: Dispense an appropriate amount onto palm. Spread and apply evenly onto hair, concentrating on mid-length to tip, Do not rinse off.
Tip from Bun Bun: I don't know if you're willing to give this a shot, but if you try what I do, which is to wash your hair at night and apply the Sleeping Mask, I think the results will even be better than if you apply the Sleeping Mask without washing your hair at night. Remember I mentioned that washing your hair 'resets' the hair? Washing hair at night + Applying Sleeping Mask = Having your 'reset' hair protected throughout the night from all that tossing and turning, and waking up to strong and smooth hair in the morning!
These side-by-side comparison pictures say it all, don't they? π
(Had no makeup on in the 'BEFORE' picture, just threw a coral lipstick on so that I wouldn't look deathly. Heh.)
Just look at the HUUUUUUGE difference in hair quality! π YAYYYY!!!!
Use Sleeping Mask With Leave On Serum
In the morning, I'll apply an appropriate amount of Essential Hair Serum and I'm out of the house! I rarely blow my hair unless it's terribly out of shape. My bangs are pretty easy to manage, I just bring use my fingers to pull them in place. π But if you do blow-dry your hair, apply the Hair Serum first. It also protects hair from frizz and dryness caused by humidity and UV rays.
I love that both the Sleeping Mask and Serum come in a convenient pump packaging as pumps are mess-free and I can easily bring them around. The residue on my hands after applying the products on my hair is not sticky nor oily, in fact it is rather moisturizing!
I am honestly very impressed with these new Essential hair products, especially the Essential Sleeping Mask. Not only are there less tangles in my hair, it is much more manageable and looks smoother!
On my first morning-after (lol), I could not believe it took only one try for results to show. The more I use, the more convinced I am about the efficacy of this Sleeping Mask. For optimal results, use the Leave On Serum too!
