WOAHHH too fast, it's 6 days to Christmas!! Anyone still scrambling to get presents? HOHO.
The other day my friend asked me what makeup product should she gift a makeup lover. It's such a nightmare buying for the person who seems to already own everything you can think of to buy her, isn't it? You run the risk of buying something she already has, something of the wrong shade, something she's allergic to, or something she doesn't like.
I told her, from personal experience, that the last thing a makeup lover / beauty junkie / beauty addict needs is more beauty products that she doesn't need. Well, unless she tells you specifically what she wants. But that would spoil the element of surprise, and if the beauty obsessed already knows what she wants, she'll get it faster than you can. From here on, I shall refer to this group of people as 'us', 'we' coz I would think myself as part of this group. ๐
So I thought I'd come up with a list to help people get gifts that their makeup-obsessed friends will LOVE AS MUCH AS MAKEUP and that are easy to buy!
Muji Storage
As makeup hoarders, we sure need a proper place to store all of those eyeshadow palettes, eyeliners, foundations, brushes, lipsticks, skincare, etc. Huge points if they're pretty too! My first Muji storage was the RPP 6-drawer case, then later the 3-drawer without the partition in the middle. I like that the translucency hides the mess. Then late last year I bought the 2-storey and 5-storey acrylic ones and it's a total joy to be able to see what each compartment contains without touching it. So then I bought 2 more for myself and 3 more as gifts!
Actually, regardless of whether one is a beauty junkie, every woman should own one of these beautiful and useful acrylic drawers.
Innisfree Diffuser / Jo Malone Diffuser
Unlike candles, reed diffusers offer aromatherapy without fire risks. There is no fear of messy wax deposits; no aerosols or artificial fragrances involved and no external power is required to make the product work. I like how they add beauty and a touch of luxury to homes, and elevate the mood and spirits with different fragrances chosen. The beauty-obsessed usually has a keen sense of smell.ย
See, I bought the Christmas limited edition scent named Snowy Time and placed it in my bathroom. I received Rose from my Secret Santa too! (Anyone uses the generator too? Pretty cool, I feel!)
If you have a higher budget for a special friend for Christmas, or as a house-warming gift, you can consider Jo Malone Candles. I love English Pear & Freesia. And a lot of makeup lovers like to turn the beautiful candle glasses into brush holders.
Make Up Store Brush Cleaning Soap
We need our tools and our tools need to be clean. Especially for sensitive skin like mine, my brushes need to be cleaned often and thoroughly otherwise the residue might cause inflammation. I'm now on to my second soap, which I quickly bought when the new batch arrived. But I took more than a year to finish my first bar lol. So it works, lasts a long time, and is popular among makeup lovers. Your makeup-loving friend will definitely like it!
I recently did a comparison between brush cleaning soaps. Can you guess what's the smaller one? ๐
Here's an elaboration on why your $16 is worth every cent spent on the Make Up Store Brush Cleaning Soap.
Eucerin Makeup Remover
I reviewed about 20 makeup removers previously and shared which ones my sensitive skin approved. The Eucerin Makeup Remover is one of my favorites so far. I like the Chanel too, but can't afford it for daily use. I'm always on the lookout for discounts for the Eucerin one. Recently Guardian had a 3-for-2 sale so I had to grab them! Its packaging isn't the most elegant or fancy-looking, but hey, it works.
Sephora Gift Card
Sephora's not only every makeup enthusiast's favorite place, it is every woman's haven. You can find anything beauty-related - makeup, skincare, body care, hair care, fragrances, gift sets. Gifting a beauty-obsessed friend a Sephora Gift Card is giving her the FREEDOM to purchase whatever she knows she wants. Minimum credit is $30 and there is no limit.
Cosmetic Pouch / Makeup Organizer
One can never have too many pouches. Sometimes we need a small one to hold just a couple of lipsticks and a blush for touch-ups; sometimes a large one to bring on vacation; sometimes a mid-sized one to do our makeup on-the-go. And then there're pouches needed for skincare products, haircare, hair pins, etc.

Art
Etsy is a great place to buy beautiful and quirky art pieces. I'd love to hang one of these in my room.

I hope my personal recommendations have given you some ideas on what to get for 'the girl who has everything'! Of course, this is not just for Christmas, they're good for birthdays, house-warming, or any good occasion too!
Till next time, thanks for reading! ๐
I feel like diffuser is a great gift idea too for guys and girls. Lovely post!

Oh Dear Bumblebees
Happy holidays! =)
Wow, thank you for the amazing gift recommendations! Btw, Iโm conducting a student marketing research project and need to hear the opinions of girls who (1) are based in Singapore, (2) wear makeup regularly, and (3) are between 16 and 21 years of age. If you fall into these demographics, would really appreciate you taking the time to fill it in at this link: https://lorealkaplan.typeform.com/to/oEcXHu! It will take just 10 minutes of your time and is fun and simple to fill in. Thank you so much!!
Hope you managed to get some nice gifts for your friends from this list! =)
