I cannot get enough of body lotion. My skin definitely benefits from hydration, moisturization, restoration of softness, but what I like most is the precious ‘me-time’ that I get when I sit down at the end of a long day, under dim light, massaging tired muscles with the aid of a lotion, and recalibrating the senses for a good night’s sleep. **Ommmm**
But ain’t nobody got time to slather for a namaste moment every night! Sometimes I’m dead beat from work and the only affair I want to have is that with my bed. Lol.
In the morning, I’d rather spend more time getting my makeup right than moisturizing. I know, we are all guilty of this.
But what if a lotion comes in the form of a spray and gets absorbed in SECONDS?
Where there is demand, there will be supply. But sometimes brands create the demand to let us see how much easier life can be. I think the Vaseline Spray Moisturizer is what we never knew we have all been waiting for! I never thought of getting moisturizer out of a spray nozzle, but now that I’ve used it, I wish everything came in spray form. Lol.
People associate Vaseline strongly with petroleum jelly, so it’s good to see them increase their product offerings. Of course, Vaseline Spray Moisturizer contains micro droplets of Vaseline’s renowned jelly so you get the same nourishing goodness for your skin without the stickiness of the traditional petroleum jelly. 😀
Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Moisturizer resembles a can of hairspray or sunscreen, the latter in spray form being extremely in trend at the moment. Sprays are hygienic because no dirty fingers dig into a tub thus eliminating cross-contamination. Vaseline Spray Moisturizer has an internal, spray system that uses compressed air to deliver the moisturizer, which is protected by an external twist-lock mechanism to prevent spills.
The 360 degree spray mechanism makes it so much easier to reach areas like my back and legs.
More importantly, it works! My skin feels nice and smooth and nourished in a matter of seconds (Okie la, I like to drag it to have my namaste moment, so I take maybe a minute? But you can definitely get it done quicker). It’s pretty fun too, this novelty of a spray-on moisturizer.
Aim a few inches away from the skin, press, and the nozzle dispenses liquidy milk which requires just a few seconds of rubbing to get it all absorbed into your skin. Do be careful where you execute the spraying though, you don’t want to get it on say, marble flooring, as it can get slippery! It doesn’t leave a greasy residue, and my skin doesn’t stick to the bedsheet or chair or pants. This is a crucial selling point because I don’t like air-conditioning and it’s unfair to have to suffer with thick body lotions that create oily limbs, isn’t it?
Right before I took these photos, I realized in horror I hadn’t shaved my legs. I could:
wet my legs,
apply shaving lotion,
OR I could give Vaseline Spray Moisturizer a try.
So I did - sprayed, shaved, done! Three quick steps! 😀
Such a time and hassle saver! Vaseline obviously doesn’t promote their Spray Moisturizer as a shaving lotion HAHA, but nobody ever said boo to multi-purpose products! Just imagine how much time you save everyday, cumulatively.
I wanted to model after the illustration on the spray can.
But it ended up looking totally not sexy at all HAHA. 😆
Vaseline Spray Moisturizer comes in Advanced Strength (fragrance-free and appropriate for sensitive skin), Deep Restore (restore appearance of dry skin), and Aloe Soothe (repairs dry skin). My favorite out of the three is Aloe Soothe coz of the calming scent, but all three smell lovely. I’m gonna bring Advanced Strength to office to combat the notoriously dry air and dehydration from air-conditioning.
You get great moisturizer coverage with just a little spray, takes seconds to rub it in, feels lightweight, doesn’t melt away, and doubles up as shaving lotion! YAY!
Vaseline Spray Moisturizer retails for SGD $13.90 at major supermarkets and pharmacies.
