I'm gonna write this post as though I'm not going through a traumatic experience right now.
That was what I set out to do before I wrote this post, but upon starting on the first sentence, I realized that it's impossible not to have to narrate in this post all my emotions - the lack of confidence, sadness, incredible vulnerability - attributed to the post-facial trauma.
I told Mr Mode I wanted to give up going to the Bloggers Bazaar altogether because people would ask what's wrong with my face and/or would get scared coming close to a disfigured monster. That was before I wrote the post-facial trauma post this morning.
Now that I got it out of my system, and with my email, Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, Instgram flooded with love and encouragement from all over the world, from people from all walks of life, plus the fact that I can still function as a human being but with a surgical mask plus glasses, I must go ahead with the bazaar.
Because I worked hard towards this day - planned, organized, packed, shipped more in, reduced prices, bought display stands and table cloth, etc, simply because I thought it would be so much fun to see you guys in person and share products I love with you all!
The Show Must Go On
This is one display stand containing:
- Real Techniques brushes and sets
- Eyeliner stickers
- Physicians Formula eyes, face, and lip products
Nah, one whole box shipped in just for this event! Haha! Will be selling:
- Real Techniques Travel Essentials
- Real Techniques Starter Set
- Real Techniques Core Collection
- Real Techniques Shading Brush
- Real Techniques Foundation Brush
They are all not available on the Doll To Doll Cosmetics website yet because I haven't had time to upload them. So it's really exclusively for the bazaar! =D
These eyeliner stickers will be going for 'One for $6, Two for $10'. I've tried it on my eyes before and they're really quite fun and easy to apply. I wanted so much to do a quick example of it on my eye but before I could get to it, MY FACE GOT DEFORMED.
And of course, I'd be bringing the best-selling, always-out-of-stock Monistat Chafing Relief Powder-Gel! It's SGD17.90 on the website, but it's going for SGD16.00 on Sunday! I threw in a tester too, so you can try and feel for yourself just how awesome this product is!
The Brush Guard is going for SGD9.90 (cheapest in the market, I tell ya!). But this will go even lower at SGD8.00 on Sunday!
Maybelline mascaras going for SGD19.90 and above in retail stores. Doll To Doll website sells at SGD12.90. If you come to the bazaar, you can grab any one at SGD10, any two at SGD18!
Have you realized so far that I'm doing away with the cents? That'll make calculations a lot easier. Heehee.
Urban Decay 24/7 Shadow Pencil Stash retailing at SGD55.00 in stores. You can get it for SGD38.00 on Sunday.
Please don't question the authenticity of our products. We ONLY carry authentic products and pride ourselves on that integrity. No fake stuff allowed!
As much as I'd love to, I'm not going to bring the entire Lioele makeup collection. NOT ENOUGH SPACE! Hahaha!!
But I'm going to bring these products I personally use and love:
- Lioele Dollish Veil Vita BB (my daily essential makeup primer)
- Lioele Auto Eyebrow Pencil (favorite eyebrow pencil, ever => review here)
- Lioele Volume & Curling Mascara (Holy Grail mascara => review here)
- Lioele Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil (always out of stock also)
- Lioele Triple The Solution BB Cream (not my personal favorite coz I have terribly oily skin, but it's a top seller coz we give out samples of this in orders and people come back and get the full size)
There will be testers for all these too!
I haven't decided on the prices, actually. But do know that everything will be going for cheaper!
I will prepare a price list to be displayed on the table so that if you fear coming close to me, you can just check out the prices on the list.
Your purchase will be placed in these lovely bags! So pretty! Makes me happy looking at them.
Every Sigma brush that Doll To Doll carries will be put on display, but just one of each. If you want any, just let me know! I will bring a whole box of the Sigma F80 Kabuki (review), I know confirm will get sold out. Lol.
Sigma sets like Travel Kit (Mrs Bunny, Mr Bunny, Make Me Cool, Make Me Blush, Make Me Crazy), Premium Kit, Essential Kit, Eyes Kit, Face Kit will all be available as well. And the Sigma Cleaning Glove! LOVE!! I don't have a review ready, but trust me, this is one of the best things to own to drastically reduce your brush cleaning time.
Prices will be reduced + cents waived as well. Just keep a lookout for the price list or ask me (or my boyfriend or mum haha)! =D
Yup! Get a free eyeliner brush when you purchase more than SGD50. Please remind me if I do forget to give you your free gift!
Please don't make go home with all these okie?

This is roughly what I'll be bringing. Plus a few more boxes. And plus plus plus. Hahaha!
Oh yes, Z Palettes and BeautyBlenders will be available too!
You can pay by cash, or have your internet banking token with you to make the transfer to POSB Savings 247-71714-5. 🙂
Mark The Date!
Date: 2nd June, 2013, Sunday
Add: Zouk, 17 Jiak Kim Street, Singapore 169420
Time: 11am – 6pm
You can keep updated via the event's facebook page too!
See you there! It'll be really easy to spot me. I'll be wearing a mask, thick framed glasses and a black-white striped top. Dressing in Bun Bun's attire makes me feel powered up. HADOUKEN!!!
A Quick Update
On a separate note - quickly - just so I won't spoil the mood of this post, I want to thank all of you for texting/writing to me. I read every one of them, every word and sentence - I didn't browse - and with each, I have become less afraid. I think I look prettier now. BAHAHAHA!
Actually no, the infection is spreading to my neck and it's helluva itchy, and the pus are making friends and merging. Gawddamnit.
Please know that I'm grateful for all the support and encouragement, but because I am on medication and feeling drowsy, I will take time to reply. I'm gonna take a shower now, wash my face, take my medication, apply the prescribed gel, and get some sleep.
Tomorrow morning C and D from the beauty salon, Mr Mode and couple of good friends will be accompanying me to a skin clinic. I still don't know which clinic I'll end up at because the clinics are all closed for the day, but I've narrowed down to a few. Thank you once again for all your recommendations. I chose the ones with the highest count. HAHA! The facial salon is genuinely interested in helping me with my skin condition and for that, I'm grateful that they're taking responsibility.
My journey is now highly publicized and obviously I didn't write it to gain publicity (THAT WOULD BE INSANE, PLEASE!), but I hope that by sharing my experience, more people will be aware that the products they use and the treatments they go for all bear great risks.
Be safe,
Juli
(Because people have asked me to stop calling myself Ugly Bun. Haha!)
