You’re in a rush for time but could never leave the house without at least a little makeup. And then you remember you have a dinner right after work hours and you most probably will not have time for touchups.
How do you ensure that your makeup lasts through the day?
Use a face primer!
Face primers can even out skin tone, fill in small pores and help your makeup stay on longer. Just imagine preparing a canvas for an art piece; you want it to be as smooth and perfect as possible. After you’ve applied your facial moisturizer, let it sink in for a while and then apply a face primer to ‘prepare’ your skin for makeup.
A little goes a long way so only a small amount will do. Each face primer differs in texture and fluidity so ‘a small amount’ is really primer-dependent. After a couple times of using this product, you’ll be able to estimate what is the right amount of face primer for your entire face.
So, squeeze that small amount on your left ring finger (if you are right handed) and place dots on your
- Cheeks
- Nose
- Forehead
- Chin and neck
Use the ring and last fingers of both hands to smooth out the face primer on these areas. 5 seconds for each area should be sufficient for your primer to be well blended into the skin.
What about the remaining 5 seconds? In downward motion, use whatever is left on your fingers and give your face an overall pat. I usually apply the remainder on my neck because that’s the place I often overlook but an area that is equally important.
And there! Quickly and easily, a face prepped and ready for makeup!
It’s amazing how 25 seconds spent on applying a primer can help keep your makeup on for the rest of the day.
